CookieYes free plan: 5,000 pageviews for one domain, and how it differs from the 14-day trial

Last reviewed October 31, 2026

Quick answerThe Free plan is $0 for one domain, with 5,000 pageviews and 5 scans a month; at the limit CookieYes may suspend it until the next cycle. Pick Complianz's free plugin for a WordPress site with no pageview cap.

CookieYes free plan: what it includes

The CookieYes Free plan costs $0 for one domain per account and allows 5,000 pageviews a month, 100 pages per scan (pages crawled per scan) and 5 cookie scans a month, as read on October 31, 2026. Each load or reload of a page that carries the CookieYes code counts toward that allowance, whether or not the visitor touches the banner.

The GDPR template, the US State Laws template, cookie auto-blocking and Google Consent Mode v2 are on all four plans, Free included. Basic, the first paid step, is $10 a month per domain, billed monthly; CookieYes pricing lists all four plans.

Free plan, 14-day trial and agency trial compared

Do not confuse the two offers: the Free plan is not a trial, while the 14-day trial of a paid plan asks for payment details up front.

What happens when a free site passes 5,000 pageviews

Extra pageviews are not available on the Free plan. CookieYes's Fair Use Policy says that on the Free plan, functionality may be suspended until the next billing cycle, or the owner may be required to upgrade.

CookieYes says websites already on its Free plan before July 1, 2025 keep 15,000 pageviews a month, while new Free websites get 5,000.

Free routes on Shopify and WordPress

CookieYes's pricing page gives its web-app Free plan 5,000 pageviews a month for one domain, while its Shopify listing and Fair Use Policy describe a separate Free Plan for the Shopify app with unlimited page views subject to fair use, so a Shopify store should read the app's own listing. CookieYes on Shopify covers the install.

On WordPress, the plugin's listing says its free plan includes a working banner, automatic cookie blocking and the scanner; the CookieYes plugin guide covers it.

When the free plan is not enough

Global Privacy Control (GPC, a browser signal that tells a site not to sell or share a visitor's data) and geo-targeting (one banner for some regions, another for others) start on Pro, $25 a month per domain, billed monthly. A second domain needs its own paid plan.

For a business that sells or shares personal information, the California Attorney General's CCPA page says covered businesses must honor GPC as a valid request to stop that sale or sharing, and CookieYes's pricing table lists GPC on Pro and Ultimate only. A lawyer decides whether the law covers the site.

For one WordPress site with no pageview cap, Complianz says its free plugin includes a banner, a scan and script blocking, and does not limit pageviews. The best free cookie consent banner guide sets the free options side by side.
