Last reviewed October 31, 2026

Quick answerBilled monthly, CookieYes Basic is $10 a month per domain for 100,000 pageviews and Termly Starter about $14 per website for 50,000 banner views. Termly adds legal policies and, it says, a 30-day money-back guarantee.

CookieYes vs Termly: the short answer

CookieYes Basic costs less than Termly Starter on monthly billing, while Termly bundles written legal policies and says it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. As read on October 31, 2026, CookieYes Basic is $10 a month per domain, billed monthly, for 100,000 pageviews. Termly Starter is about $14 a month per website, billed monthly, or about $10 a month, billed annually (Termly's US price list), for 50,000 banner views.

The allowances count different things, pageviews against banner views, so the price gap is not a per-visitor gap.

Pageviews against banner views

A CookieYes pageview is one load or reload of a page that carries the CookieYes code, counted whether or not the visitor touches the banner. Termly meters banner views a month: the number of visitors who see its consent banner. CookieYes Free allows 5,000 pageviews and Termly Free 10,000 banner views, but they are different units, so the two figures do not rank the plans.

Both Free plans cover one site. CookieYes Basic then allows 100,000 pageviews and Termly Starter 50,000 banner views. Termly Pro+ has unlimited banner views at about $20 billed monthly, below CookieYes Pro at $25 a month per domain, billed monthly, with 300,000 pageviews; CookieYes Ultimate has unlimited pageviews subject to fair use.

Legal policies and what each bundles

CookieYes includes a privacy policy generator and a cookie policy generator on all four plans. The Free plan's cookie policy generator is single-language, and Basic adds multi-language policies and a hosted policy URL. The generator scans your site to detect cookies and builds the cookie policy from the result. The cookie policy generator guide sets the policy tools side by side.

Termly bundles policies by plan: Free has 1 basic legal policy, Starter has 2 legal policies and 10 policy edits, and Pro+ has unlimited legal policies.

Refunds and trials

Termly says it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. CookieYes lets you run a paid plan for 14 days before the first charge, while Termly prints no trial and offers a refund window instead. The catch: the Refund Policy says payment details are collected at sign-up, the pricing FAQ says the credit card is automatically charged unless you cancel, and no refund follows once the trial converts.

Who should pick CookieYes or Termly

  • CookieYes for a site under 5,000 pageviews (Free, $0), or one that wants the lower entry price on monthly billing: Basic at $10 against about $14.
  • Termly for a site that needs written legal policies inside the plan, or the 30-day money-back guarantee Termly says it offers. Termly alternatives lists other routes.
  • iubenda for a quiet site: Essentials is $6.99 a month per site, billed monthly, for 25,000 pageviews, the lowest paid entry price of the three on monthly billing.
  • Agency teams with 5 or more sites: CookieYes publishes 25% off from 5 paid sites and 35% from 25, while Termly names a bulk discount from 5 licenses, with the percentage drawn by a calculator. CookieYes pricing has the tier table.
