Quick answerSwitch when the pageview meter works against you: Cookiebot for busy sites with few pages, Complianz for WordPress portfolios, iubenda for quiet sites. Stay with CookieYes to start on a Free plan.

CookieYes alternatives: when to switch

The CookieYes alternatives worth pricing are Cookiebot, Termly, iubenda, Complianz, WebsitePolicies, Osano and OneTrust, and they meter the bill differently: subpages, banner views, pageviews per site, licenses or visitors. CookieYes meters pageviews per domain, so traffic decides the plan. Basic is $10 a month per domain billed monthly, or $100 a year per domain billed annually, as read on October 31, 2026.

  • The pageview meter. Free allows 5,000 pageviews a month, Basic 100,000 and Pro 300,000, and Ultimate is unlimited subject to fair use. With extra pageviews switched off, a domain that reaches its limit stops showing the banner until the next billing cycle or an upgrade. Cookiebot says it does not charge by page views.
  • A WordPress portfolio. Complianz sells yearly licenses for 1, 5 or 25 WordPress sites, where CookieYes sells one plan per domain.
  • The refund terms. CookieYes's Refund Policy calls the charge final once a trial converts to a paid plan, and lists four narrow refund cases with no money-back guarantee. Termly and Complianz state 30 days, iubenda 14 days and WebsitePolicies 7 days.

Seven alternatives with their US prices or quote terms

Cookiebot is read on its monthly view, Termly and iubenda on both billing bases, and Complianz and WebsitePolicies sell yearly licenses only. Each price keeps its own billing basis, and Termly's figures come from its US price list.

Pick Cookiebot for a busy site with few pages, Complianz for a WordPress portfolio on one yearly license, and iubenda for a quiet site with a low entry price. Start with CookieYes when one domain fits its Free plan: $0 for one domain per account, with 5,000 pageviews a month. Basic, Pro and Ultimate start with a 14-day trial that takes payment details at sign-up and charges the card automatically when it ends unless you cancel.

Per-domain tools: Cookiebot, Termly and iubenda

Cookiebot sets each domain's tier by its subpages, meaning any unique URL on the domain. Premium Lite is $10 a month for one domain under 50 subpages, and Small is $20 a month per domain for accounts with four or more domains under 350 subpages. Its Free plan covers one domain, and Cookiebot says its 14-day trial asks for no credit card. CookieYes vs Cookiebot sets the two side by side.

Termly counts banner views, the visitors who see its consent banner in a month. Starter is about $10 a month per website billed annually, or $14 billed monthly, and includes 50,000 banner views, 2 legal policies and 10 policy edits.

iubenda counts page loads and reloads per site: Essentials includes 25,000 pageviews, Advanced 50,000 and Ultimate 150,000. Essentials is $5.99 a month per site billed yearly, or $6.99 billed monthly. iubenda lists a free plan and shows no dollar price for extra pageviews. CookieYes vs iubenda compares the two meters.

Licenses and policy bundles: Complianz and WebsitePolicies

Complianz sells yearly licenses for its WordPress plugin: Personal covers 1 website at $59, Professional 5 at $179 and Agency 25 at $399. Complianz says it limits neither pageviews nor stored consent records, and its free plugin works on a single site. CookieYes vs Complianz covers the WordPress case in full.

WebsitePolicies is a policy generator with a cookie banner, not a banner-first tool. Starter is $59 a year for 3 policies and 1 website or app, and Professional is $99 a year for all policies. Billing is yearly, and the free basic policy is not for commercial use.

Larger teams: Osano and OneTrust

Osano Free is $0 a month for 1 user, 1 domain and 5,000 monthly visitors. Plus is $199 a month for 2 users, 3 domains and 30,000 monthly visitors, and more domains mean a custom quote on Basic Privacy.

OneTrust prices its Consent Management Platform Base by average daily visitors across all channels and properties, and shows Get Pricing and a demo request instead of a figure, with no free plan and no trial. For the wider shortlist, see best cookie consent banner tools.

Leaving CookieYes without losing consent records

Export the consent log first. CookieYes's log downloads as a CSV for a date range you choose, and the export period is 1 year on Free and 5 years on Basic, Pro and Ultimate; its help article says data is no longer available once that period ends.

Cancel only after the file is saved. Canceling stops future billing without refunding the current period, and customer data can be returned or deleted on request within 30 days of termination. CookieYes's pages document no import of one tool's consent records into another, so the exported CSV carries the earlier choices.

This page is informational and not legal advice. CookieYes is a technology platform that assists with compliance, each site owner is responsible for compliance, and a qualified lawyer can say how long your own site should keep consent records.
