As read on October 31, 2026, the CookieYes app for Shopify is listed as free on the Shopify App Store. Its Fair Use Policy gives it a Free Plan with unlimited page views (consent banner impressions), and any charges go through Shopify's billing. In a developer reply to a review, CookieYes says features that once needed its Ultimate plan are now free for Shopify merchants. The listing shows no paid plan or dollar price.

CookieYes's pricing page gives its web-app Free plan 5,000 pageviews a month for one domain, while its Shopify listing and Fair Use Policy describe a separate Free Plan for the Shopify app with unlimited page views subject to fair use, so a Shopify store should read the app's own listing. The three-step setup in Shopify

1. Install the CookieYes app from the Shopify App Store and work through its three-step onboarding.
2. Pick a layout: banner, box or popup. The web-app article lists the popup layout from Pro; the Shopify article names no plan for it.
3. Pick a region: Worldwide adapts the banner to each visitor's location, although the pricing table lists geo-targeting from Pro; United States only gives US opt-out consent (cookies run until the visitor refuses), and Europe or any other non-US region gives GDPR opt-in consent (no non-essential cookies until the visitor agrees).

Shopify's help says to use the same consent regions in its Customer privacy settings and in the app; if they do not match, non-essential data can be processed before a visitor consents.

Turning the CookieYes banner on in Shopify

The banner does not appear on your storefront until you turn on the CookieYes app embed in your Shopify theme and click Save, then Finish setup. Next, open Customer privacy in Shopify, then Cookie banner, then More actions and Remove cookie banner, so only the CookieYes banner appears.

CookieYes's Shopify article says Shopify collects marketing and analytics data only after a visitor consents in the regions you select. CookieYes's blocking-test article says that when blocking works, only Strictly Necessary cookies are present until you accept the banner.
